Tyler McGraw.
Tyler McGraw is the founder and host of The Unfiltered Historian Podcast,and site manager for the Manassas National Battlefield Bookstore. Tyler has been an avid reader of anything Civil War and enjoys spending time on battlefields in the Central Virginia area, as well as Antietam.
Daz
Daz is a co-host of The Unfiltered Historian Podcast, and has been since the summer of 2021. He first became interested in the American Civil War in 2004 after watching the movie Gettysburg. Daz has also been a Reenactor for the best part of 20 years,18 years were spent Re-enacting, The English Civil Wars in the Sealed Knot Society, but he now Re-enacts the American Civil War in a society called the Southern Skirmish Association. He loves all periods of history most recently Daz has started working as a volunteer at Deal Castle, which is a 16th-century Artillery fort on the South Coast of England.
Josh Hughes.
"Josh is a native of Southern Maryland, who has been interested in history since he was a kid. He attended Shepherd University and graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts in History with a concentration in Civil War and Nineteenth Century America. Josh is a career public historian who has worked at different historical sites. His favourite historical time period is the American Civil War, but overall interest is in any important story that needs to be told. Josh's favourite historical site is Harper's Ferry National Historical Park, and his favourite book is his collection of Edgar Allen Poe poems.
He joined the motley band of misfit Unfiltered historians in 2023."
Anthony Trusso
Anthony is a public historian with an interest in the soldier’s experience. He has an interest in following the 61st New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment and its second commander, Francis Barlow. The love of history was born from a family trip made to Gettysburg in the early 2000s. He holds a BA in history from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He loves to road trip to find unique and off the beaten path historic sites and the best barbecue.
Walt young
I was a frequent reader as a kid, but I really got hooked on historical learning and travelling after visiting Harpers Ferry, WV, as a kid. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to follow that passion for a career! My favourite periods of history are the Civil War & the Mid-20th Century. Harpers Ferry, WV & Ocracoke, NC are my favourite historical sites to visit, and my favourite book is Confederates in the Attic.
